Our Terms of Trade

Placing orders and payment

  • We accept all major credit or debit cards including PayPal. When an order is placed with Fancy Rugs Ltd. an e-mail is automatically sent to acknowledge payment, stock availability is then checked and the order is processed. In the unlikely event of insufficient stock quantities the Customer will be contacted by Fancy Rugs and advised with alternative re-stocking dates and further details. 



  • Our standard delivery service is free for mainland UK and is carried out via a partner courier company with estimated 3 to 6 working days from the date any order is placed. Once goods are dispatched, the Customer will be contacted with delivery details and an order tracking number if applicable.


  • Delivery is usually ‘signed for’ and goods may not be left with a neighbour or in a ‘safe place’ (eg. porch, outhouse etc). The Customer is able to contact the courier for specific delivery details/arrangements.


  • Should delays in delivery schedules occur for any reason, the Customer will be contacted and advised accordingly. Our estimated delivery times are to serve as guidelines only and are not strictly binding for Fancy Rugs Ltd.


  • Should the Customer fail to attend all delivery attempts by the courier company, any additional charges incurred for the courier’s services outside of our ‘Free Delivery’ policy are to be covered by the Customer


  • Additional delivery fees are applicable for parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and British Islands


  • Upon delivery, goods should be examined by the Customer or their representative to ensure they are the correct ones as ordered and in satisfactory condition.


  • As soon as put into use, goods become subject to manufacturer’s product guarantee and general guidelines for maintenance/use/treatment


Returns, replacements and refunds

  • Goods can be returned to Fancy Rugs within 30 (thirty) days of purchase for a full refund for the value of the goods. This only applies to new goods in their original state of manufacture with no signs of use or damage/alterations/improper handling, maintenance or storage by the Customer or their chosen courier. Return delivery costs are non-refundable and must be covered by the Customer


  • If goods appear to be defective or not the ones ordered, the Customer must contact Fancy Rugs within 7 (seven) working days to arrange replacement of any such goods without further delivery/collection charges applicable. After this period goods will be considered in line with the Customers’ order.


  • Refunds and replacements are issued by Fancy Rugs strictly after goods are returned, examined and deemed in adequate condition/eligible for any such requests. We reserve the right to decline refund or replacement requests and will send goods back to the Customer if goods are considered not in line with our refund policy, described above.


  • Cancellation of newly placed orders comes with no further charges or re-stocking fees for the Customer, providing that the order has not been processed and delivery has not been arranged. If the order has been processed and/or out for delivery, goods in question will become subject to our standard ‘Returns’ policy


  • Please note that our Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for their monetary value. In the case of refunds, where a gift card was used as payment, we're only able to issue another gift card of the same value as the one used to make the purchase.


Online content and advertisement 

  • All content displayed on our website or social media platforms is intellectual property and for exclusive use by Fancy Rugs Ltd. We reserve the right to alter/remove/add content at our discretion including any running promotions at the time without further notice, all offers are subject to availability at the time of order.


  • Where we try our very best to display photographic content as visually accurate as possible, our photographic representation of the goods is for reference purposes only and, at times, may slightly differ from the physical appearance of the goods.


What information we collect and why

In order to offer you the best customer experience on our website we securely collect certain amount of data and personal information such as:


  • Any personal details you type in and submit, eg. name, address, email address, etc. We only collect information, which we require for completion of orders and to provide our goods and services. We do not store any card details.


  • Data which allows us to recognise you, your preferences (including items added to your basket) and how you use this website. This saves re-entering information when you return to the site. This data is collected by cookies from your navigation around the site.


  • Your IP address, which is automatically logged by our web server. This is used to note your interest in our website and your location for our site analytics and applicable delivery options.


What we may use personal information for

  • Provide you with our goods and services. In the process of doing so, some of this information may be securely transferred to our partner service providers and employees in order to organise and fulfil orders including delivery of goods.


  • To administer prizes, vouchers or coupons for any competitions or promotions you may choose to enter.


  • To enable a better customer experience by analysing shopping preferences as well as part of our marketing analysis. This may include use and exchange of certain information with our marketing partners, which can help us select and tailor products, services or special discounts and send emails to inform customers about any of those we think will be relevant and interesting to hear about.


  • We may also access publicly available information relating to our customers on the internet (for example on social media websites) to assist in fraud prevention, for identity verification and for marketing purposes.
